Dr. Charles Brownlow attended Wake Forest Medical School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he did his internship in general surgery and residency in anesthesia with an emphasis in pain management. His internship was in general surgery and with his residency in anesthesia with an emphasis in pain management. Dr. Brownlow was the proud recipient of a Naval scholarship while he attended medical school/residency, and while in training was vice president of his medical school class, recipient of two NIH research grants as a medical student and awarded top research honors in North Carolina as an anesthesia resident.
Dr. Brownlow is the past President of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Greater Atlanta Pain Society and is also a member of the AMA. He has been a speaker for numerous pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies as well. His practice, Georgia Pain and Spine Care, has won several awards with the Newnan Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized as a center for excellence not only for Newnan, but the entire Atlanta region.
Dr. Sandeep Vaid ABPM specializes in headache and neurology pain management. Dr. Vaid obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and then graduated from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in Orlando Florida with his Medical Degree. He did his residency at both St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, New York and New Jersey Neuroscience Institute in Edison, New Jersey.
Dr. Vaid is  recognized by the Board of Neurology, is both BLS and ACLS certified, and belongs to the American Pain Society and American Academy of Neurology.
Dr. Kent Remley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University with an undergraduate degree in biology. He received the Highest Distinction honor from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his radiology residency at the University of Utah and his Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Remley specializes in diagnostic and the therapeutic injection procedures for the head, neck, and spine, as well as vertebral compression fracture treatments (Kyphoplasty and Vertebroplasty). He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology as well as the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Ali Kassamali acquired his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics in 2002 at Emory University. He continued his studies acquiring his Doctor of Medicine in 2011 from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and his residency and fellowship at Jackson Memorial Health Systems.
Dr. Kassamali is active in volunteering and in the past has volunteered with "Medical Students in Action" (MSA) and the UMMSM - Department of Community Service.
Dan Kirschenbaum, Ph.D., ABPP, is our Director of Behavioral Health. Dr. Kirschenbaum uses cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help people: manage pain more effectively (e.g., progressive muscle relaxation; hypnosis), sleep better, lose weight, and decrease stress and depression. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University and a former President of the American Psychological Association’s Division of Exercise and Sport Psychology.
Dr. Kirschenbaum, the author of 12 books and 140 articles in scientific journals, has provided invited addresses at professional conferences world-wide, received numerous research grants, and consulted with many organizations (e.g., NBA; US Olympic Committee; LPGA; WebMD).
